Just a little FYI. You can make your own headspace guages if you don't want to buy them. The only catch is they can't be used more than once or twice, but they are easy to make so it doesn't matter. If you pull the bullets and powder on a couple of live rounts w/o damaging or deforming the case then you have a "GO GUAGE" and the starting of a "NO GO GUAGE". To make a NO GO, you need to take one of the live rounds that you pulled the bullet on and red loctite a small piece of .005" shimstock (small enough to be smaller than the rim of the case so it fits in the bolt face) to the back of it, that is then your "NO GO" If the bolt closes on the "GO" and not the "NO GO" then you are good to go. If you are planning to do more than 1 build or so, I would invest the small amount of money and buy a real set of headspace guages. This is just a quick and dirty to check if things are safe or not.
