So, I am able to go to a build party next month. I dont have the tools to bend flats myself, but there will be plenty of that there. Right now I only have 2 flats. How many extra do you think would be a good idea to get?

You're going to get all kinds of answers on this one
I'd say think of how many AK's you want to build and get one extra flat as a replacement for a mistake.
If you have too many, you can always sell them at the build party.

Midwest Armory is a great place to buy parts from (flats, rivets w/bushing, muzzle attachments, pistons, US made furniture, etc..).
I've purchased most of my parts from him and have been beyond satisfied with everything.
A great guy to deal with, fast shipping too.

+1 on MidWest Armory.  We just completed doing a group buy and I received 10 flats that I plan on doing during this weekend's flats bending/AK building party that I am hosting at my place.
