Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Need help w/ loose handguard

AK build gurus,

I have replaced my wood with a K-var plastic set, but I'm having problems. The front of the lower handguard moves or pinches when it's held. Are there anyways to shim this up or otherwise fix this?

I had a similar trouble. My WESCOG repair was to remove lower hg, ball up some aluminum foil, re-install hg, mashing the foil tightly.

I'll give it a try. I'm gonna have to use a hell of a lot.
