yes. I modified a flat for a test subject. it worked fine...since demilled again, but I can post a pic of how I modified it for the front trunnion. pic up shortly...

I cut the receiver to fit around the bulges and then tig welded. Had to shim each side to keep the width correct. I will post a picture if I can figure it out.
