It looks like it would be very durable, resists heat up too 500*f , is oil and gas resistant. It's $5 a can, enough to do several rifles .

yep it works ok
its vary hard and will chip tho
if you add some moly or somethang soft to it (about 10 to1)  
it works alot better

I used it on my AK pistol.  It's too shiny for my liking.

i had the same problem, i ended up cleaning it off.
i ended up just spending some extra money at brownells and useing that teflon moly stuff, turned out great, kinda $$ tho

I've done several with the 1200 as well and haven't had any issues with chipping or solvents eating it away.

With the - DH 1602 High Heat Black 1200 - is this matte or low gloss?

I tried the 1200 stuff and break free (aresol ) cleaner took some of the finish off.  I used correct method (prep, spray, and bake) methods too.  Go with brownell's.

Clean ,,,,HEAT,,,,paint and bake..Smoke/stink out the house and it looks good and durable.
Comes out with a very satin finish....

If done properly will it hold up to Brake Cleaner?  I have read reports of brake cleaner removing the finish.  Just wondering b/c I use brake cleaner to cleaner all my guns.

I did the clean,paint, and bake thing...brake cleaner took it off. now I just have a friend of mine park it. I even blued one with cold blueing. a little shiny though. but does look nice on my yugo!
