How do you remove the rear sight?

i used a drill press (turned off) to press the spring down then it was easy to slide it out

Try the search button.  I just posted this reply in another identical topic a few days ago.

This is from an archived post by socandyman which should be in the BIY tacked thread, but isn't.  You use this modified wrench to compress the flat spring and the sight is easy to remove.

find a elcheapo made in taiwan 3/8 inch open end wrench (you actually need the cheap 1 a good wrench wont work)
grind some meat off the bottom of the wrench till its .100 thick



now take a hammer and beat the bottom jaw till it points to the top (this is why you cant use a us made wrench good steal wont bend lol)



now just cut the lower jaw off .200 long and your done



some wrenches you will need to remove alittle off the top jaw aswell (for clearence) but most you dont
