I'm gonna remove the bluing with Brownells Steel White rust and blue remover. Does anyone know if it will hurt the bore (chrome lined Romy). The guy I talked to at Brownells wasn't sure. How do I plug the barrel if necessary?

I wouldn't worry about it.
but if you are worried, seal it with some candle wax. it an be removed with boiling water afterwards. like... stuff a little paper in the barrel about 1/4" and drip some wax in there, repeat on the other openings, that should seal it good, and be easy to remove. |

The traditional way is awooden dowel rod of proper size driven in with a hammer
