Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Receiver question

I picked up a Ewbanks receiver at the gunshow this morning, GT has too long of a backorder on theirs even though I live in Houston where they are located. The EWbanks receiver has a fair amount of twist to it and I was wondering if that is normal before installing the trunions.

I'd try to take it back.  If you bought it at a gun show, didn't you get to look it over before you bought it?  If it's not too twisted, you can probably untwist it.

Yes, I should have inspected it more closely. It also has a problem with the position of the lower rear hole for the crosspin. I will take it back and switch it out tomorrow morning.
