so for my second build (im putting the finishing touches on my first, a romy, pics up soon) i was considering building up an AMD-65. but, i really dont like those sidefolders and i hate the idea of having that barrel extension on too. ive read that some people build them as pistols without the stock so you dont need the extension, but i was just curious about the specific legalities of this. can i just leave off the stock, say its a pistol and leave it at that?

Do you HAVE an AMD65 kit yet? If not good luck finding one. At the price they are going for now, assuming you can find one, I'd rather fork over some extra $$$ and build a yugo Krink.

actually i do not.... i just checked around and it looks like most places are sold out hinking.gif and im too tight on cash for a krink (as much as id like one). are there any other shorter AK types i might have missed? maybe id be better of just getting hold of a shorter barrel, gas tube and piston and make one out of a romy
