Lord, wheresoever this rifle goest, guide my hands upon it.
Let a shot never be fired in anger or error.
Bless it to your righteous service.
In your mercy, Thine is the kingdom Amen.

Nice build!  What receiver did you use?  I have all the parts to build a 74 on a OOW receiver, but really need to have someone guide me during the build.

That is a F*ing bad rifle!!  My kit for one is on the way.  Did you refinish the whole thing or just the receiver and front trunion?  What finish did you choose?

I am currently looking into starting to do gunkote. For now I just used rust-o-lium semigloss black to keep rust at bay. Solvents will remove the (any) paint like tears remove mascara. Also, I did blend it into the RSB so the difference wouldn't be so drastic. But after it dried it was much closer than I expected it to be. Rest of the gun was pretty much new and didn't need anything. Use several (3-4) very light coats and it will dry duller about 15 min between to allow drying. Help it dry with a propane torch at a distance.
