The bottom rivets are too far of a reach for my homemade bolt cutter squeezers.  What do you all use to get this bottom rivet squashed??

36 in cutters will reach fine

I've got the H/F 18" cutters.  Is there anything else short of making new cutters that will knock this rivet out?

I use a plinker's jig and even then, it's at the limit of what it will reach but it will do it.  Just did one Monday night BTW....

BTW again, you can get great UF assembly instructions here

I was able to do it with my 24" bolt cutters but had to make a modification... I had to cut away part of the metal bars that go perpendicular to the jaws... the bars that are held in place with the 2 bolts.  I cut away part of them with an angle grinder so the jaws had a longer reach.  I don't think would work with 18" bolt cutters because I don't think they would still have enough reach.

I use 24" and go up through the PG hole to hit that lower rivet.
It just required a little reshaping of one jaw so that it would barely fit the square hole.

Good luck,
