Spot welder: $150
Sheet metal from Home depot: $20 Dremmel tool: $45 Having the worst AK anyone has ever seen posted on AK47.net, PRICELESS |
Damn....
I have seen some of their receivers that had builds done at the show's and they looked pretty good... Wonder WTF is up, Letting the Jr High School kids in first year metal shop doing the work?.. |
I am a monkey with a hammer. I did a better job. I wouldn't sell my receivers.
Damn. Those are some F'ed up receivers.. Chris should be ashamed, he has put out a product worse the Vulcan, or joeken has ever dared sell.. Those frickin things would need soo much work to build on, the should be considered 80% shells....
Bad juju Chris, you might have been able to pull out of the "RPK Debacle", but now this... You might want to consider finding a good job now.. |
Wow, and I felt like a monkey with a hammer with a few of the dings I put into my latest build... But man, my home rolled flat looks a whole lot better then this thing....
Aren't you glad they had months to practice before they sent you a receiver after they did some practicing? Perhaps they were waiting on a used flat bending jig and a sale at HF for a press and spot welder too... That is just awful... |
DAYUUUUMMMMM!!!!
My first home-bent receiver done @ _Disconnector_'s last build party looks better than that!! |
You are ALL right.............can't believe ANYONE would send out shit like that and expect anyone to be happy!! What's so bad I GOT 5 LIKE THAT!!!
we did some at the okie build party that were way better than that, , ours were perfect.
I folded one up with a fricken HAMMER (no jig) and it wasn't much worse that that. |
Thanks for posting this I'll now know don't buy from redlight
Sorry you got hosed. Those receivers are total crap. I really hope you can get your money back.
That's an amazing failure of quality control. And letting 5 receivers go out like that in the same order....WOW! His rivet boltcutter tool is A+ quality, I can't believe these came from the same guy. Best of luck getting this junk returned.
YES>>>>>>>>WAY!!! |
Man...that's IS a POS! Let us know if you get your money back! |
You should get Elite FireArms to do custom Russian selector markings on them.
That looks like a Tapco flat, especially with the selector dimple and locator holes in the bottom.
I would be PISSED. |
That's it and I AM!!! |
Ha...F***King.....Ha !!! |
Nope...I was told it was a TAPCO flat... |
Daaaaa....YUM!
It might work with a polish kit. Tapco should be pissed. |
I got a feeling you wont have to worry about staying away from greenlight arms sometime soon. It appears chris is having fiasco after fiasco.
Yep.............I did, here's proof I left off the first post. Go back to pictures NEW ONE ADDED.
See magwell. |
Those look like crap, at least you got your money back. I did one deal with him and would never again.
dude what receivers did you order? yugo m70 receivers? they dont have bulged trunions - screw the rest of the stuff. those are regular flats. . i CAN"T beleive that is for real. is it april fools day? i mike
WOW! I have seen these Receivers at the WAC Show built up on Romanian Kits. Some just didn't look right at all, and I sure wasn't going to buy one after careful inspection. I along with many were involved with that RPK Receiver fiasco. Thank GOD I didn't get one after all! Your Receivers look like SHIT, and after inspecting the ones at the Show, am convince these are indeed TAPCO Flats, bent by someone who obviously doesn't know what in the Hell he's doing, other than taking Peoples $$, and not responding for months on end. I think Greenlight is someone's idea of a SICK JOKE! I will NEVER recommend them to anyone, period!
dude0 they dont have the bulged trunion at all. they cant be 100% receivers for yugos WITHOUT the bulged trunions.
Dude read the frigin post, he never said they were yugo receivers.. Chris posted a long while back that he was working on AKM receivers as well.. |
I've been waiting since June for receivers and tools that I purchased thru a group buy on Weaponeer. Think I'll ask for a refund before they are shipped.
I was pretty happy with my Armory receiver. It leaned a little to one side and had a few burrs on the rails. Aside from that, excellent.
DPH is now selling "Ewbanks" receivers that might be ok. After the review of them, I wouldn't buy them, but some people were saying that they would.
You and I do not share the same definition for "Excellent" |
Compare it to any other US receiver, and it's excellent. The pics of the Ewbanks showed the axis pin holes were deformed from the bending. You've seen what was posted in this thread. A little lean and a few burrs are excellent compared to the other options!
Help me out here. Are we talking about Armory USA going out of business? Or DPH or Ewbanks? Or is "Armory" refering to another company?
The reason I ask is that the receiver I got from Armory USA *was* in excellent shape, no leaning or deformed areas at all. Everything fit like a glove. I was thinking about ordering from them again. |
