Can I build AK74 on a AK47 flat?  Are there any differences between them?

the diff is in the rails and magwell

you can use a flat to build a 74 cause the magwell is alittle undersized (there will be alittle slop)
and the rails arnt installed yet (and are norm alittle oversized)

cant use a 100% 47 on a 74 tho without a big pain

PS you will also need a 47 rear block

the 47 and 74 rear blocks have the front holes in diff locations
and the 74 wont fit a predrilled 47 flat

The top holes are in the correct location, the lower holes are not.
I just weld up the lower holes and drill new ones.
You can build it as is, but you will have two extra holes in your receiver.

Or plug 'em with two rivets.  That works and looks good too.
