I am trying to decide on a bending jig to buy. Can people please post thier experiences with the different jigs that are out there. At this time, I am looking at either a DPH arms jig or the jig from ak-builder. Also, are there different flats that these jigs work best on?
Thanks

I have  done many searches and have found some useful info, but a post of peoples preferences would be great.
Thanks

We used both at our build party this weekend.  The dph jig requires hammering down the front rails.  The AK builder jig has an attachment for pressing the rails.  FWIW, The rails hammered down on the DPH jig seamed a little better formed then the pressed rails on the AK-Builder jig.  YMMV, however.

There is a bending jig for sale in EE that I ran across earlier this evening.

I have only used the AK-Builder jig.  It works great and is easy to use.  To get a perfect 90 degree top rail, pop the top rail jig off, and put a piece of flat metal on the top rail (while in the normal bending jig) and press.   Curtis at AK-Builder is great to deal with.  I was so happy when he came out the polish underfolder flats.

Did you find a Jig yet?  I have a 555th jig which is basically the same as the DPH jig except the 555th jig uses bolts to heep the kig together (As does the AK builder Jig) while the DPH jig uses allen head bolts that hold it together.  The 555th jig does not have the alignment pins to center the flat in the jig but it only takes a couple seconds to measure the flat and get it centered....

I am going to list the jig for $100 + shipping ($120 total) and if you wanted it I will cover the shipping for you and send it to you with the AMD-65 kit you traded me for....

I don't have any pics of this jig on the web at this time but I need t take some anyways...  Also, I have instructions somewhere that shows how to add the alignment pins to the 555th jig and adding these would make the jig really quite similar to the DPH jig.

Please let me know as otherwise I will be listing this over the weekend...
