So I hear the finish on these is a little easy to remove; it's paint or something.

So I'm thinking I may refinish mine with Duracoat or NMR or something along those lines over park.

Which has proven to be the more durable product? I've done FALs in NMR and was pretty impressed with the stuff.

if you park first
you can use anythang
the park gives a nice perous surface to hold to
and it dosnt really matter what you finish with over the park
a 89 cent can a black paint from wallyworld will hold to park
guess what im tryin to say is use whatever you want its not gonna come off

Thanks! Thats about what I thought.

I was wondering, how does K-Phos/GunKote hold up compared to park/moly coat? Seems like all the smiths are using K-Phos to prep the metal for GunCoat, and that stuff comes off with alcohol so I'm a little leary of it.
