I was drilling out rivets tonight and accidently egg-shaped one of the top front trunion rivet holes

Is this going to be a problem. This is my first f#%k up on the trunion, so I want to proceed carefully. It was only one hole and the rivet will still seat, but with barely perceptible play.

Ideas or help?

socandyman told me that this shouldn't be a problem since the rivet will fill in the egg shaped hole when it is pressed.  Two of the rear trunnion holes on my Polish underfolder kit came this way.

That is good to hear and it does make sense that the soft rivet will fill it up and hold things tight.

Here is a pic to explain it better. I'm hoping this isn't too severe, even for the front trunion.

That's nothing.

I've done one helluva lot worse and gotten away with it.

Don't worry about it.  The rivet shaft will swell when compressed and will more than take up the minute slack you have there.
