I am curious if there would be much interest in paying a premium to have Global Trades custom serial number AK receivers for us? I have several really nice kits now and I know I would be willing to pay a pretty healthy premium for a serial number that matched my parts kit numbers....

I will send them an e-mail with a link to this thread... Just curious how many people might be interested as well...

Here is the e-mail I sent:

As you are well aware, there are some really exceptional numbers matching parts kits available and I am curious if your company would have the capability or willingness to do custom serial number AK receivers. I understand the extra work and hastle associated with this and I would expect additional fees would be necessary. Please advise if this is something that might be possible.

I'd like that. but understand it would be a pain in the ass. but i'd pay a bit extra for some of my top quality kits

I'd pay a premium for that. On a $60 receiver I'd go another $10, maybe 15 if my kit was minty fresh.

I'd be interested depending on price.
Am I correct in assuming that they could tack letters on to the beginning if they needed to? Like if someone ordered 1234, then someone else ordered 1234, they could make A1234 instead? Seems like the serials I've seen have all been under 9999, so you could run into overlap.

Just put the full number on the receiver.... for example my PMKMS kits say:

1979 S644146
1980 BA3B810
1981 NS31730
1983 SL33451
1985 SP06036

So either the entire code or just the part without the year...

Literally just got off the phone with Stephanie and she advised it was $35 extra per receiver.
