An AR-15 barrel is threaded 1/2" x 28 tpi (right-hand) for the muzzle brake, I think.

Does anybody know what the threads are for the AK? I know they're left-handed but I don't know what size.

14 mm by 1mm pitch...yes left hand.
That's the common one.
