2 grooves to slide snugly into the curved part of the receiver. Part of one groove has been bent down, which will create fitting issues if not fixed. Solution? File or chisel & BFH or ???

I had to open the slots on my AMD-65 rear trunions in order for them to mount to OOW receivers....  I used a dremmel and simply widened that slot a little with a reinforced cut-off wheel....

See how it fits on your receiver and adjust as necessary!

You should not have to take much off the bottom portion of the slot.  I like to use a smaller triangular file.  Take a little off and then fit test.  Rinse and repeat as necessary.

I understand - I have a trunnion with the same damage, looks like it was dropped or struck on that corner, closing the groove.  I tapped with a small chisel trying to open it back up, but chickened out.  My thoughts were tending towards recutting the groove with a dremel.

Definitely related to the care taken when demilling. I've seen "Good" kits with perfect trunions and and "Like New" kits with badly bent ones. Seems fairly common.

I agree, but have seen no other questions about it.  Therefore - either it bends back so easily that it is not worth talking about (Idoubt it) or the results of repair are so ugly that no one wants to get involved.

Same thing on my AMD rear trunion.  It took very little work with the dremel to get it taken care of.

Every rear trunion I have seen from these its have looked bent towards the rear.  I am not sure that they weren't made that way.
