Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Wood on a gas tube

Gentlemen, I recently saw somewhere, how to remove the wood from an AK gas tube. Is replacing the wood just the reverse? I don't want to bust my forstock wood when I replace it. I have the tube cut down and it fits perfect on my 65, now I'm worried about attaching the wood. Thanks, Ron

It goes back on in exactly the reverse of the way it came off.
