I have a mac90 that I am thinking of putting an underfolding stock on. I made the rear trinium myself and I am going to use pop rivets to start with to attach it to see how it fits. Will this be legal if I leave it this way or not? I will go back later with solid rivets,or screws which do you think will be better? Thanks Autogunner.

Legal?  Yes.  Would I want to fire it like that.  Not really, unless you have some hellacious rivets in there.

They are steel pop rivets, but I will replace them, now that I know it is OK I might spend a little extra time and use screws and nuts. Autogunner

That would be my suggestion.  I just don't see pop rivets having the juice behind them to pull the receiver into the trunion like screws or standard rivets.  It might work but I just would not want to try it myself.
