I'm working on a dummy AK, and am to the point of refinishing the dummy reciever to match the rest.  Is it safe to bake the aluminum recever as i did the rest of the steel parts?  What's a safe temp/time?  Thanks!

Aluminum needs some special prep to paint properly. It needs to be washed in acid(I dont know what kind) then dipped in Aladyne, an iodine solution, then primed with aluminum primer, then painted.

Or you could just use Alumahyde ll. It works great.
