Okay, I am being sucked in.  I have placed an order for a Bulgy 74 kit, and am already thinking that I can't have a 74 without a 47.  I thought about a ORF WASR, but decided why buy when I can build?  So far, what catches my eye is the AMD 63.  It looks to be the kit on the current market that most closely matches the classic AK style in my mind.  But, this got me thinking.  How often do new parts kits come on the market?  In the last few years, have you guys seen a number of parts kit models come and go?  Are there generally two, three or four different kits that pop up each year?  What has the recent history on availability looked like?  I have about 25 guns, but am new to the AK world, so I have no idea what the flow of availability generally looks like on these things.

Thanks,

A convert in the making.

I just ordered one of the Bulgy 74 kits this morning myself.  People can expect a lot of stupid questions coming from me pretty soon on my build!

I bought an AMD 63 kit and the parts are in like new condition. The AMD 65 kits I've seen look a bit worn.  I would have used a Chinese parts kit, but I couldn't find one with the front trunnion still attached.  I saw a Bulgy 74 kit at the last show and it looked like new.
