I've got a post-ban Maddi  I'd like to fix up if the AWB meets it's final fate.  The stock's easy.  Is there any way of putting the original threads back on the muzzle?  i'm not talking about rethreading, instead I'm looking for some kind of threaded adapter  that has the same threads as the original that can be welded on.

Kind of odd isn't it?  I want threads so I can put a slanted compensator on it and leave it there!  It's the princple of it all...

What is the barrel diameter? Was it turned down?

The gun's at my father's house, so I can't measure the diameter.  But yes, it was turned down.

I have a postban SSR with a permanant slant break...  it's supposedly welded, but I can not see a weld bead anywhere?  Can anyone shed some lite on how it's done, and how it can be reversed...pending 9/14?

Thanks.

If you get a chance, measure the barrel diameter with metric calipers.  If it's 14mm or close, you can thread it with a 14X1 left hand metric die.  Brownells has them and thread alignment tools too.  I think K-Var and Global have adapters if you don't want to thread.
