I am getting ready to build a 74 kit with screws. I believe I want 10-32s. How long do I need. I thought someone had to cut down 3/8. Would 1/4 be long enough? Any other tips would be nice. Thanks, CB

Measure each point where a screw will be installed then buy according to your measurements. If the screw is alittle long trim it down with a sanding disc or belt sander.
