Looking at a stock posted on the ee thats for a milled rec. can it be modified to fit a stamped rec.

 no. the buttstock's insertion peg for the stamped receiver is much longer than the one on the milled buttstock.

I suppose that with enuff time, effort & materials you could modify a milled stock fit a stamped receiver by adding the appropriate peg.  But unless you get the materials (scrap wood, glue/AccryGlass) for free & have woodworking tools & skill you'd be better of just buying the correct stock.
