Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - saiga to an AK 47 look?

I am new over here, I mostly hang out in the AR-15 side.  I bought a Saiga yesterday for my kids to shoot.  My son asked if I (with limited knowledge) could make the sport version into a more traditional AK?  

How hard is it, can it be done at home or how much can I do myself before I need a pro to help out?  Any help would be great.
