Well the muzzle damage is a long story, lets just say the end of the barrel is missing the front sight, ( not caused by a misfire, or any other shooting accident ) but the rest of the gun is in like new condition. My friend thinks replacing the barrel is preferable to cutting the barrel shorter, recrowning, and adding a new front sight.
The NHM91 has a 20" barrel, I know the kengs is a 16", I was wondering if the barrel specs were the same at the base of the barrel because the NHM91 has a heavy almost RPK type barrel all the way to the muzzle. The NHM91 reciever also seems more heavier duty and slightly longer than the standard Chinese AK recievers I have seen.
Thanks for the help Campy, yes I have access to a hydraulic press. I'll have to look into making a rig like you describe.
