Got my 74 parts kit last night and I would REALLY like to be able to keep the issue furniture. My recvr. and FCG parts give me four US parts. Is there any way to make the other three needed without turning this project into a much more complicated thing than it would otherwise be?
Thanks!

A milled rifle without a muzzle brake needs 4 US parts. If you add a muzzle brake, you need 5 parts. If you use a stamped receiver you need 1 additional part.

Assuming a stamped receiver, add a US made brake and gas piston and you'll be good to go.

Thanks T-Man! Know anybody that makes an exact US copy of the brake that came with the K-Var parts kit?

I believe that there is one on the KVAR web site.

My consultant, Mr. leaf206, has suggested a Krebs selector lever and replacing just the pistol grip with US made will do the trick.
That lets me keep the original brake though of course it must be permanently attached.
That sounds great to me!
Anybody see any problems?
