I know that a rivet-build produces a more "authentic" AK-build, but other than the AK, there are many weapons that are assembled with regular hardware (Screws & Bolts) and do just fine.

Other than authenticity, why is a rivet-build preferable over a grade-8 screw-build (maybe with a little loctite)?  Seems like it would be easier...

Why worry?

ETA: Removing and reinstalling the barrel isn't that bad. Pully puller and all-thread.
