Hello, did a search and didn't see anything.   I have a new rifle and the take down pins are kinda tight, and don't want to scratch it up.  What do you guys use to push the take down pins out on the upper and lower for cleaning.  I think I used the end of a cleaning rod when I was in the service, but can't remember now,  I'm sure a plastic rod of some sort would be great, just want to hear what you guys use, thanks.

Yeah, that is great, thanks.  That is perfect.

ETA, wow, kind of expensive though. $18.00.  I appreciate it though.  I'll search around, maybe I can find one cheaper.

got an empty bottle laying around (water, pop, juice)? flip it over, use the cap on the pin, smack it with your hand. ought to be able to get the pin from the other side at that point.

I always thought the M16/AR15 was designed to be taken apart and cleaned with a FMJ 5.56 round.  I might be mistaken though I have only been using one for several years now

and it works for me.

I just smack it with a screwdriver handle if it won't pop out easily.
