Any harm using one of those 17" pipe cleaners to clean out the gas block on a carbine?  Will the pipe cleaner work, or, is the angle too steep inside the gas block for the pipe cleaner to make it all the way inside?

Thanks.

It's not necessary to clean the gas tube with a pipe cleaner.  If you must, you can give the gas tube a short burst of BF Powder Blast or Non-chlorinated braked cleaner.  The general consensus is the gas tube gets cleaned by the hot, high pressure gas every time you fire a round.
