Clean every 2000 rounds(WITH BRASS CASE AMMO).Just keep an ar-15 LUBED well and it can go more then that.

I clean mine after every session..no reason not to except laziness. Ever notice how nice your car runs right after it's detailed????

I clean all of my firearms after every range trip. I clean/lube my carry handgun (1911) once a week, regardless of whether or not I've fired it.

I have found that some of my target rifles perform a lot better if I do not clean them every time. When it gets really dirty the accuracy starts to suffer and I clean it then.

I forgot to mention, I pretty much never clean the bore on my .22LR guns. They're way more accurate if I just clean the action but leave the bore alone.

You're correct sir: I usually only shoot 2 out of the 3 really cool local matches. Average round count is 60-120 for each match. Unfortunately, free time and $ammo$ keep me from shooting more. BSW |

I plan to clean after every trip for the first 500 or so rounds. Then I can slack off to cleaning every other time. But I don't like having dirty weapons and do find cleaning my rifles enjoyable. So I am sure it will still be after every range trip.

Field strip, clean, and inspect after every trip to the range. The only time I put a firearm away dirty is if I know I will be using it again that week.

When I am out camping for 5 days or so, a bore snake soaked with lube of choice and a good douche on the action parts is all I use at the end of each day. Even with corrosive ammo in some of the older rifles. When I get back, I clean each weapon thoroughly as soon as I can after unpacking.
