Everyone knows that when cleaning your AR, Q-tips just do not hold up.  Well I found one that stands the test and passes like never before.

A Company starting up is BearMetal Gun Cleaning Swabs.  www.bearmetalclean.com  These Swabs are tough. They are spun so tight that it is amazing.  I cleaned inside of bolt carrier with just one. And it still did not lossen up and come off of the stick.  They offer a bunch of different lengths and styles.  

I only post on the board when I think it is worth mentioning.   This is a great product !  I never saw something this tough.  Check them out and give them a try.  I have no ties to this company or product.  Just thought I would share this.

I use Swisspers cosmetic applicators I get from the grocery store. A few bucks for 80 if you buy the vanity pack I used to swipe them from my wife but she started getting upset. They are wound tight and they are pointed on one end and flat on the other. Check em out.
Oh yeah don't tell the lady at the cosmetic counter you are going to use them to clean your gun she will look at you funny. She may look at you funny anyway.

Brownells also sells wrapped, wood handled swabs that hold up relatively well.  I've been using them for a few years.  They also sell killer patches.
