Is there such a thing? I have a carbon build-up inside my AR's bolt that I can't seem to get rid of, and it's annoying me!

I use a stripper clip (USMC trick)and put a CLP soaked patch over the end of same, jam it in there and give it a few turns. Repeat as necessary, usually 4-5 repetitions will do.

It is the black hard stuff that forms on the bolt. It is a product of combution. It forms on a lot of stuff from engines to guns. It it also the black stuff on burned wood.
