Ok I know there is a spring and pin there that hold it in place.  But before I possibly do damage trying to remove mine I figured I'd ask what the best method for removal is.  So what is the best method?

Thanks,
Chris

You'll need to remove the pistol grip, selector spring, and detent. Cock the hammer, then the selector will slide right out.

Remove the pistol grip to release pressure in the detent that holds the safety in place.  Then cock the hammer and the safety should come out easily.  Be careful to not drop the hammer with the receivers separated.
