Can these be parkerized?

Parkerizing is a process done to steel not aluminum.

Your talking two different metals with two entirely different processes. Parkerizing is a chemical process used on steel. Anodizing is an electro/chemical process used on aluminum. I’m not sure of the exact results, but if you dropped an aluminum receiver in a tank full of park solution you might not like what you pull out.

I think with bluing salts you would have nothing to pull out. I wonder if it is the same with park.

I know that even anodizing incorrectly can burn, erode and pit an aluminum part. I worked for a while in aviation production. Quite a few of our parts would return from the anodizing vendor damaged.

I myself have even burned aluminum parts using alodine, which is also a chemical conversion process to help protect aluminum.

Plating:
Cadmium plating is usefull for steel. I've only seen it used decoratively but it's corrorsion resistance is very good. At some point I may pimp out a 1911A1 with cadmium plating. :)

Alodine: MIL-C-5541E Class 1A is toughest
Class 3 if electrical conductivity is needed such as in electronic enclosures.
I would love to get an in the white AR lower and pimp it out with a mil spec Class 1A chromate finish.
