Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - long term rifle storage?

What do i need to do when storing my rifle for long term? about a year or two. all i have is a bushmaster plastic case. will it help if i wrap rifle in a plastic bag before storing it in case to prevent foam from drying up the oil. or will it be better to just put it in a rifle bag?
