Bought an AR-10 to slap a colapsing stock on after the ban died.  I was flipping through the manual, and I noticed that they (ArmaLite) say it's not necessary to clean out the gas tube... if using good ammo.  This is news to me.  I've been cleaning my AR per the ARMY M-16/M4 manual.

The gas tube cleans itself every time a round is fired.

Leave it alone.
