This question is getting buried over in GD, so...

Can a bore cleaner like Hoppes #9 or Shooter's Choice be stored in a HDPE plastic squeeze bottle or will the bottle be eaten away?

I've stored MPro and Shooter's Choice in those little bottles that were included with GI cleaning kits, no problem.  Althougth the SC seems to evaporate over time which i attribute to the valve thingy.

Thanks. I have an old Breakfree CLP bottle I'm planning on using. Guess I'll give it a try.

HDPE is impervious to nearly all chemicals and bore cleaner is pretty mild compared to some of the other stuff stored in this type of plastic bottle/container. You won't have any problems.

I have had Hoppes #9 in an old CLP bottle for 5 years straight.  Guess it works.  Of course the glass bottle of #9 is about 10 years old, now.

Long live Mpro-7!!!!!!!!!

5 years huh? Guess that takes out any uncertainty. Thanks!
