I am going to go the route of the one-piece rod and bore guide but I also want to try a bore snake, I fully agree that more guns have been wrecked by over cleaning than anything else. Am I better off with a non-coated rod. Also where is the best place to buy this stuff?.

Thanks,
Steve

The local gun or sporting goods store usually has more than enough cleaning gear.
