I fired for the first my case hardened frame, charcoal blued barrel and cylinder SAA.

Will Breakfree CLP damage the charcoal blueing?

Thanks.

Don't know about the case hardening/blueing, but I always use Hoppe's or Outer's on my SAA's and lever action.   Back in my black powder days I knew some guys who had problems with their wood stocks softening after repeatedly wiping them down with CLP.  So don't put it on the grip! [:(]

This is assuming you have a wood grip on the SAA, of course.

Hoppe's and Outer's, on the other hand, are good for the wood and give a nice look to your finish.

Thanks!

I used Hoppes.
