I recently saw a cleaning mat for an M16 that had a piece by piece view of the rifle stripped down for cleaning. It was said that this was a training aid for young soldirs in basic. I was wondering if anyone know where they can be purchased?

Lcr,
I was issued one,and have been looking for one since I ended up in the job I'm in now.

If you find a good supply of them lemme know.

As a training aid, they are handy, which probably explains the dearth of them on the surplus market.

Best of luck!

I believe I have seen them from time to time at Cheaper Than Dirt.  You may want to give them a call.
