At some point the lug broke off, but remained in the barrel extension.  Bolt cycled, but the broken lug prevented it from going into battery.  Click, no bang, end of range trip

Bolt was MPI'd so not a crap one.

Start carrying a spare bolt in your grip.

I keep a bolt, gas rings, cotter pin, & firing pin in my grip.

Do you have a link to RTB?

And would I have to get a gunsmith to check the headspace before using the spare bolt?
