Having a problem with an AR I built a while back. Shot fine with the old BCG and never had an issue. I just put in a new BCG and now the rifle is having issues chambering ammo, both factory 5.56 and .223 and hand-loads. If I can get it to chamber which usually takes at least 2 tries, it shoots fine and extracts and the gun works perfect but it a PITA to get it chambered. I attached some pictures of what it does as its kinda hard to explain. I feel it is a problem with the bolt IMO. I did compare it to my friends bolt and my ejector seems to be very stiff but I'm kinda lost after that. Any help will be greatly appreciated! - Matt

FYI for all you safety nuts...the rounds in the picture are dummy rounds loaded for show. NO LIVE AMMO lol

I'm assuming since you said it worked with a difference BCG that you are "slingshotting" the bolt (releasing it from fully retracted position) and not riding it home.

Does it get stuck in the position shown in photo #1 (a little short of completely locking up)?  Photo #2 is an unnatural state.

yes i have always "slingshot" the bolt home. never ride it down. the bolt does stick most of the time and it was stuck in the first picture. when i got the bolt unstuck the round stayed on the bolt like that which is why i took the picture.

The bolt looks like it is out of "Specs"!!
The bolt face isn't open "Up" enough.
That is why the shell is stuck in the bolt with the ejector pushing on it....

So did you try your Friends Bolt in your rifle????
