What the hell!!! I have a noveske 14.5 w/ std noveske gas block, I have 2 of the pins that came with it and the gas tube.  I can see through the hole, there are no obstructions, I cant get it it!!! What do I do???

stop being a pussy and bang it in





other options are to ream the hole with a drill bit or slightly bevel the edge of the roll pin with some fine sandpaper

See my two posts in the below thread (one with a [blurry] picture). That's what you need to do. It turns a pain in the ass into an easy thing to do.

Of course, if you have a roll pin punch already, there's no need to buy or make your own.

Roll pin holders are great.

If you don't have that I hae had one guy hold the pin in a needle nose while I get a punch and a hammer and give it a sharp whack when the pin is lined up.

Ummm, why not just use vise grips?  Tape up the jaws of the vise grips and SLOWLY squeeze the pin in.

I just built a 6.8 and used a clamp on PRI block with flip up site.  I used the vise grips to get it most of the way in, but when I went to seat it flush I wound up BENDING my steel pin punch!!!!!

Sometimes a little muscle is what is called for!
