A couple of weeks ago I was having FTE and posted here to troubleshoot the problem.  Although I think I still need a new buffer and I think I isolated the problem magazine, AR15FAN sent me a xtrapower spring out of the goodness of his heart and was pretty sure that it would help. Well I got out to the range yesterday Not only did it have 0 FTE, the bolt stayed open on every last round where I was getting sporadic results at best before!

Thanks for the guidance and the spring!!

Glad to help.

FWIW Brownells sell a 3pk of Wolff xtra power extractor springs for a reasonable price.  They also have the current Colt copper colored M4 extractor spring.  Good item to have in your spares kit.
