Best guess is if it now runs, you fix the leak and you may have an over-cycling problem on your hands. Since this is a EE barrel, could be that the port was opened up a few times (reason why the FS is a not a good seal, and the port size was increase with the leakage in mind.
Plus, the FSB is seeing pressures in the upward of 45K pressure range, and it going to leak just a bit.


But it you just must tinker; there is always the option of loctiting the FSB (used as a gasket) to prevent the leakage.  Worst case is you have to use a torch to pull in back off, and reinstall it to leak if you do get over cycling (ported too large).
