Anthony-
I just noticed the IM and I am responding here...
I have never installed a pigtail gas tube.
I always develop the gas port to the proper diameter so that the gas impulse is correct with a straight tube.
If I were in your sutuation, I would install the gas tube into the gas block first.
Then remove the barrel from the receiver and fit the gas block/tube to the barrel.
You can use the gas block as leverage to twist the tube around as necessary until you have the spirals basically centered around the barrel.
Then pull the gas block/tube back off the barrel and re-install the barrel to the receiver with the barrel nut.
I notice that you have a YHM barrel nut.
Was this installed on the receiver with the old gas tube?
If it's new, you may need to enlarge the top hole about 1/2 way down so that you have more room for the bent part of the gas tube as it comes around to straighten out into the gas key on the bolt carrier.
Now you should start to work the gas tube back into the receiver.
You will want the bolt carrier in place to help straighten the gas tube as it goes in.
Work slowly, lots of small tweaking so you don't over-bend the tube as you get it into place.
Good luck
