I know this is a really dumb question but, nevertheless, here it goes

Would it hurt the lower (specifically the buffer tube, buffer, and spring) if I put a 20" HB upper on a carbine lower (has the  standard collapsible M4 stock)

Thanks

Chris

No.

The differance between the carbine and the full lenght receiver extension is the lenght of the buffer, and the thinkness of the coil wire to make up for the shorter spring on the carbine.
